Boat in or fly in remote fishing!

On the English River, located north of Kenora, Ontario, Canada, Separation Lake Lodge has been an established fishing camp since the 1950’s and it is now under NEW ownership-the owners of Halley’s Camps, Chris and Amber Halley, purchased Separation Lake Lodge in March of 2023. The excitement is brewing in the air to get fishermen returning to Separation after years of being closed (with fish continuing to produce and growing larger!)

The famous English River has proven itself over and over again with the excellent fishing. The walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass fishery year after year keeps improving and not disappointing. This has had fishermen return over the decades and we cannot wait to have fishermen continue their tradition with the Halley’s owning it!

Historically, this has been a fishing camp that has offered American plan and housekeeping. With our visions of the future, we are continuing to operate as a housekeeping camp. Our American Plan option we hope to have in the near future.

Our fleet of boats are 16’ Crestliner with BRAND NEW 30hp four stroke Yamaha motors. This will give fishermen ease to get from one spot to another! Our boats also come with depth finders. Upon check in we get you familiar with the boats and will mark up a map of the “hot spots”.

Accommodations are clean and comfy as all cabins are cleaned between parties only. We provide guests linens and towels. The cabin is also equipped with bbqs, flushing toilets, running water, fridges, stoves, heaters, and more.

Fishing bait will be available for purchase at the lodge.

How it works: You will drive with your groceries, drinks, personal and fishing gear, and rods to our Separation Lake Landing north of Kenora for arrival at 3pm. We offer boat transportation into the lodge. Upon arrival and check in we will show you which cabin you will be staying in and get you situated with the premises. You wake up at camp and that is your first fishing day. Departures are between 7:30am-9am.

Wi-Fi is available in the store during open hours and available outside after hours.

Fishermen must have their fishing licenses prior to arrival. Please visit: huntandfishontario.com to purchase or renew your Ontario Outdoors Card and purchase your Non-resident 8 day fishing license.
